Anyone with info on social service assistance?

I am unemployed & unemployment benefits have run out. How does one apply for public assistance? What will I be asked? Can I get decent medical/dental care? Will it be the embarrassing, humiliating experience I am expecting?Anyone with info on social service assistance?
answer to question number one.--Go to your nearest welfare or social service building, go to the receptionist and tell them y ou need an application for benifits. Number two----It will seem like they ask you your whole life history. It'll seem like a book. Number three------ If you are found eligable for the medical/dental it will be very decent.Its trying to become eligable that is diffucult.Number four-------- Why would it be embrassing or humiliating?You got to do what you have to do to survive. Do you have children?? I think it might be hard to get it without kids. I know it is in the state of maryland. It is hard as heck to get it without kids here in Md.
It will not be embarassing nor humilitaing if you go in with your head held high and positive attitude. Look in the yellow pages for you local health and human welfare office and then schedule an appointment with them.
