Benadryl - what is the UK equivalent medication?

I'm in the UK and need to find something similar to the US alergy medication, Benadryl. My wife is pregnant and occasionally takes Benadryl to help her sleep.Benadryl - what is the UK equivalent medication?
Hiya, Benadryl is available in England go to boots or super drug
The generic name is diphenhydramine hydrochloride. In the UK, Benadryl Allergy Relief is acrivastine. Benadryl Once a Day is cetirizine. Your chemist should be able to help you if you provide this information.
Read the labels of anti-allergy meds and look for one that says "diphenhydramine hydrochloride 25 mg." That's the generic/chemical name.

The medication I believe is ATARAX?

Check the sleep aid section of a local pharmacist. anything with diphenhydramine hydrochloride in it should work almost the same. 'Sominex' if it's availble in the UK is pretty much the same thing.
Benadryl is Diphenhydramine...just look for that.
Nytol is one formulation of diphenhydramine, but your chemist may be able to tell you more including alternative antihistamines.
i aint a doctor but i'm pretty sure it's DIMEDROL.
