Okay, you need to research HIPA. It is a privacy act which does not allow employers to require employees to discuss their ailments with their employers. It should be sufficient to provide a doctors note that you are under their care.
In the event that a hardship is created or you are unable to perform the main/ essentail functions of the job, then the employer has the right to terminate employment.
Your employer needs to decide if your case has created a hardship on their business. If it has not, then they should try to work with you. They cannot require you to sign a consent, call asking your friends , go to your home to check on you, ask your neighbors, or do anything that invades your right to privacy concerning your health. Yes, the spices in certain foods can cause burning to occur with the stools. I've had this happen a few times. I've also found that if I eat bell peppers (especially the red and yellow ones if it's enough) that my stools will smell sweet.
I don't know how long this has been going on for but if it's been a while I would definitely have this checked out by a dr to see what they think could be going on.

mine do not burn they itch. and it is because i don't always wear them. also one time i accidently put them in backwards. my suggestion is to make sure you are probably taking care of them. example: changing the fluid in the holder, and making sure you rinse the contacts before putting them in your eye. it's amazing how many people forget to do the little things. other than that i would just graze the pain... and keep going on.. if it continues call the eye doctor.

I was diagnosed with bronchitis about 7 weeks ago (will be this Friday). I don't feel ill anymore, and my cough is slowly but surely getting better.

stretch marks are tiny tears in the deep layer of skin. You have to wear a support or sports bra, so your breasts won't be bouncing up and down, making those tears easier. Remeber that even if your implants are not big, your skin is already stretched from them, and the least you want to do is subject it to more trauma by not wearing a bra with good support.
As for the stretchmarks, go buy vitamin E oil capsules, cut one's tip off and rub the oil every day after bath for about 6 weeks, This should help improve their appearance.
my sister had implants done and she went from an A to a B, she was told to ALWAYS wear a bra, that support was necessary.

Blurred vision for a few days...what's wrong?

I woke up 2 mornings ago and my vision was blurry. It went away after a while but got worse and better throughout the day. The same thing happened yesterday and today. I don't smoke, I don't wear glasses, I don't do drugs or drink excessively. I'm 18, do you have any idea what could be going on? you may want to see your family dr. to have your blood sugar levels checked...for a possibility of diabetes..If your blood sugar levels are high, this will affect your eyes.

I'm worried about my dad. When he gets stressed out, his right eye gets bloodhot (looks like a bloodvessel exploded) and his face turns red. But he keeps on working and feels that he is too busy to do anything about it. I just had a blood test scan as part of a physical and my results came back "27" even though the doctor said they should be in the 30's. Because your blood has less to pump less when you are reclining...it has to put less pressure into making sure the blood reaches your extremities
when you're reclining, gravity is not affecting your body as much, and there is more blood returning to your heart from your legs- that makes your blood pressure increase a bit and your heart rate to slow. when you're standing, gravity is making the blood from your legs harder to push back up to your heart, so your blood pressure drops and your heart rate increases. that's why sometimes you can get light-headed when you stand up too quickly from a sitting position.

Blood with your bowel can be serious and can be minor. It could be from a tear on your anus while you're pushing, or it could be a more internal problem, like blood from inner rectum, or worst from your GI system. Constipation can cause rectal tear and bleeding with pain. But always get it check it out with a professional, the safest way out.

I don't think that the sun is the only contributing factor. Some people just have different color hair on different parts of their bodies. A good example would be a friend of mine who has blonde hair but grows a red beard. It would be interesting to test your theory though.

i would say that it propably would change colour if it was out in the sun as long as your head was. but some peoples hair doesnt change colour at all and it may be possible that your pubic hair is different to the hair on your head. I have also heard stories of people shaving their pupic hair off and having it grown back a different colour!

Bloatted uncomfortable stomach... Anybosy got any solutions?

My stomach swells up and is very uncomfortable. I feel like if I stuck something into it and burst it I would have some relief. I went for an allergy test and have to avoid Wheat, dairy, sugar and meat from cows!! This leaves very little to eat. I still feel bloatted and sore. no, the tests have a lot of false positives. keep a diary of what you eat and how your felt, this way, you will know what works for you, but also, make sure you have enough fiber to have reg bm's...this will make you bloated all day long if you do not have good bowel habits.

there are many reasons for bloating, but if you believe it has something to do with your eating habits, than you must ask yourself these questions...do you have an eating problem of any type, because if you do your body will try and take every last bit of food you actually do eat, and break it down nice and slow so you don't "starve"...however there are many other reasons too, any medication you are taking, gaseous foods, chewing food too fast makes for air bubbles as well...it could even be a bowel problem...there is many things it could be...check out the listed website i put.or type bloating in a search engine...if it gets any worse or does not stop, I suggest you go to the doctor for some professinal help! Call the vet NOW. There are 24hr emergency clinics if your vet is not available. The normal dose of aspirin for a dog that size is 1/4 tablet. The problem will not be bleeding from the stomach. It will be kidney damage or kidney failure. So your pet may appear well now but could still suffer kidney failure. If you pet receives immediate treatment this most likely can be prevented.

certain types of birth control will help with acne. You might have to try more than one before you see improvement. You should see results with your cycle within a couple of months. The acne may take a little longer.
This is from my personal experience. I was put on the birth control as a teen for the same reason as you and I am now 30. So far I have not had any side effects from the pills.

You could try Dr Hauschka sunscreen cream for children (SPF22). From the health food shop. Its very expensive but doesn't contain many of the harsh chemicals in some other brands. Its a mineral sunscreen so has no chemical sun filters
the E45 is widely used.
e45 is very good as my brother uses it. but you can get a sun factor 30 from good health shops that are ideal for people that have skin allergy's. my friend has something similar and his doctor recommended very small amounts of time on a special sun bed that they have in some hospitals,or you local tanning centre.it cleared his exma up very quickly so therefor he no longer has to suffer the way he used to. am so sorry your little boy is having to go through such an awful skin condition so young. wish you and your family all the best xx

They are the best of every type of sleeping remedy I have ever tried!!

Check the sleep aid section of a local pharmacist. anything with diphenhydramine hydrochloride in it should work almost the same. 'Sominex' if it's availble in the UK is pretty much the same thing.

Nytol is one formulation of diphenhydramine, but your chemist may be able to tell you more including alternative antihistamines.

Mine was tender for about a week, when standing the skin gets streched. As long as there isn't any pus or redness and heat (infection) you should be alright.

Wait a few days before doing crunches. You can resume them when you feel you're ready (if it hurts or irritates the piercing, give it a few more days). Running should be fine anytime, but if it does irritate the piercing, wait a day or two.Make sure you do a sea salt soak after exercise to keep it clean.
As for tumbling, I would wait a few weeks. You don't want to snag the piercing or knock it around. Only do activities which don't put pressure on the piercing.

An outie belly button is actually an inguinal (umbilical) hernia. They are okay if they are easily pushed in and out but if they cause any pain, get bigger or get hard they need to be repaired. My son had surgery on his last summer b/c it was becoming more and more of an outie. It still sticks out a little but not much. Simple out patient surgery. Very little recovery time.

Been feeling sick...any idea why?

Ok...for the past 5 days I have been feeling very nausious. It is like I have butterflies in my stomach. I always feel more sick after I eat something. I wake up in the middle of the night and get sick. What could this be? I am going to go the doctor in a couple of days, but can anyone tell me anything now? What I do when I have sick feelings is to first stop eating.
Chew on ginger or have a slice of lime and drink hot water.
Also go for a walk.

Uh, there most certainly are such things as bed bugs. The scientific name (genus/species) is cimex lectularius. Bedbugs are becoming much more common again.
The county health department does seem to be a good place to start for reporting it, though--as well as the hotel mgt.

Uh for one there is really no such thing as so-called "bed-bugs," what you probably saw were probably bed mites or some other insects that were attracted by peoples' food. I would contact the local Health Department.

Baking soda to help you vomit?

ok any help would be greatly appreciated... i think i've either got food poisoning or some sort of stomach bug. i was throwing up a few hours ago and now its stopped but i think if i can one more time ill feel a little bettter. I don't have any epikak or time to get any

Baking soda and water will not make you vomit unless you just can't stand the taste. What it will do is mix with any gas you have in your stomach and help you to belch, therefore releiving pressure and making you feel better. Use a juice glass and fill with cold water, add in a teaspoon of soda and if you want to add some sugar or sweetener to make it easier to stomach. It might help, but it wont hurt. Expect to feel a little bloated until you let out the earth shattering belch that rattles the windows.

Bad throat problems . HELP !?

My throat is really bad lately. It all happened last night after i ate my supper, it felt like there was still food in my throat. I took a drink of my orange pop and it just felt worse. I tried to ignore it but it got even worse and i got really scared. I felt sick to my stomach and it felt like my throat was going to close. Yes! that happend to me before and it lasted like..3 weeks. the doctor finally did something and stuck this camera up my nose and down my throat (gross i know) but we found out it was acid reflex causing my throat to swell because of the acid... so i got prilosec and it fixed the problem completely. If the doctor won't prescribe you this medication just try laying off the acidy foods for a while and try taking tums. Acid relfex will cause your stomache to be upset too.

Bad headaches!?

I have been getting really bad headaches for the past week. I usually never get headaches. I also have cold symtoms. The headaches make me feel really dizzy and light headed if i cough or if i bend down. It feels like there is a tight band around my forehead constantly. Also my hearing has worsened slightly, like when you drive into a tunnel and your ears pop. I have no stress in my life at the min, as i know this can cause this. It may well be blood pressure or migraines. However, constant headaches and feelings of pressure can be a symptoms of Inter-crainal hypertension, although this is unlikely. Although many people dismiss headaches it is a good idea to get them checked out because they can be outward signs of serious underlying problems

I went to the doctor today and he told me what was wrong with my back, however I can't remeber what he called it. Here is what I understood. Something with my small intenstine opening up and depositing bad toxins into my body which are collecting in my back. Probably a herniated disc in your friends back causing compression on the nerve. Needs to see a Dr and get atleast a cat scan done to see which disk or diskes is affected. don't let it go one too long as there is a possablity of permanent damage.
sometimes that can be a sign of a pinched nerve. let your friend know with the numbness down the leg they might want to go get check by a doctor to see if their sciatic nerve is pinched. i have a pinched sciatic nerve and my mid-lower back will go numb then pain will shoot from my hip to my heel and back up. after that it goes numb and i have to sit for a little bit. it sucks sometimes though. either that or they are not lifting things right. you can actually throw your back out just by picking up a piece of paper. i laughed at that too till a doctor told me it was true.

I have Arthritis and done a few discs in but I go Aqua Jogging. That is where you wear a floatation belt that holds you upright. Once in the water the freedom is excellent. However after 45 minutes time to get out and my 'belt' is red hot where the spine was. I think this is due in part to inflammation but also pushing the blood around the 'problem' namely the disc. Likewise I do get slight pain and stiffness the following day. I suggest you see your Doc as you might be heading for Disc Problems and that is not nice!

the needle cant be shorter otherwise it wont reach into the muscle, and try a 22g, 23g, or a 25gauge needle. I personally have found the 22g to make the injection time end sooner since the fluid will travel quicker into the muscle. If you cant work your nerves to do it yourself, get a friend nurse to do it. another thing I found very helpful is to pinch and squeeze the area (about an inch in diameter) for about 45 seconds, where you are going to have the injection, the pinching and squeezing will trigger the pain desensitizers in your body to release, making the injection less painful.
No. You cannot use a shorter needle. those will go into the subcutaneous tissue and it will not be absorbed properly. It will also develop a knot and it will eventually hurt really bad. Don't you have a nurse friend wo can give it in your butt? Those hurt much less than in the leg.
No, it should be a 1 inch needle, but maybe you can use a 25 gauge- a smaller type of needle ( the hole in the needle is smaller) that you can feel not as much as say a 23gauge (the hole or "lumen" is larger).
If you are really freaked out about giving yourself the shot, maybe you can arrange for a "treatment nurse" to give you the shots- just bring your own supply (vial) of B12 to the appt.

Well, if you have astigmatism, you should be wearing prescription contacts! Why were you wearing non prescription contacts? Were they colored? You definitely need prescription contacts or glasses.

I was recently at a camping festival where people were using ash from the campfires to sanitize their hands - both after using the latrine and before preparing food. Now I know that alcohol, chlorine (bleach), and some other chemicals are known to kill most germs on the hands, but I don't know about ash. I know that soap isn't directly anti-germ unless it's made with triclosan, but that it takes off a layer of oil from the hands and therefore will usually remove most the germs with it.
But what about ash?... I'm not a biochemist or anything, so I don't really know how this would affect micro-organisms. I know its PH is relatively high, but is this toxic to germs?...Or does it react with the oils on your skin to form a sort of crude soap? Does it work at all? And if so, how? And would it work as a dry dusting or only wet?...

For those who do not wish to peruse this site it simply explains the alkalinity of ash and its detrimental effects on helpless bacteria. One of the components of ash is potash (a combination of potassium and ash) one of the ingredients of soap.
Most living things like a PH of 7.0 Potash when concentrated can get as high as 14. Yep bacteria sizzle and die.
It works only when dry, the water disolves it and washes it away.
yes ash will work, so long as you are careful for any residue. It will also neutralise any odours

There is also a form of osteoporosis that results in tiny fractures in the spine, that can also reduce height in older people.

Gynecomastia is usually caused due to hormonal imbalances so they can usually be treated medically by treating the underlying condition. please meet with an endocrinologist. If surgical removal is necessary, i think any plastic surgeon should be able to do it.

it well and we had to take it for colds and coughs.

Thats called Creomulsion and it is a Cough Syrup. I took it as a child many moons ago. I think they still make it. Check at Walmart, they sell about everything and I do remember that stuff worked.

this happened to me too. but i didnt let it go on for a month!! well the areas has got infected mainly because the procedure was done wrong...ie in the wrong place..u need to see a doctor he will probably prescribe antibiotics! its not natural for a shot to hurt for amonth..it shud be numb for 5 days,,,the longest... dont worry hum it will be fine but do get to a Doc preferably not from the place u got the shot from!

No this is definitely not normal. It sounds like they might have hit a nerve or something but this definitely needs to be evaluated by a dr to find out for sure what is going on.

try not to stand for long periods of time for it causes your blood to return up slower..
causing dilation of your veins
then, at the end of the day
you can lie on your bed and raise your feet so that more blood from your lower extremities will return to the heart thus, decreaseing the risk of further complications
plus you must wear breatheable, non-constricting underwear, pants, and skirts...so that there will be good blood flow...
if you wish to remove those spider nevi, just go to your doctor...and consider a sclerotherapy..
they will inject a drug to decrease the size of your veins...

It is possible to have them cauterised by laser, this is of course a private cosmetic procedure.
you cant do anything but have them removed by laser, the laser burns the vien away just under the skin. most people dont look that closely, i would not worry they are harmless.
