I think it might be more commonly known as a RAST. ( radioallergosorbent test ).This is a test for specific IgEs to look for allergy.
Each different allergy that is being looked for at the lab needs a different kit. Therefore you need to have a high index of suspicion for what sort of allergy you are looking for, before you do the test.
These tests are often done at your local hospital. They are tests for allergies to things like different types of nuts etc.Your GP would refer you.
