for example
hydrated silica -- sounds like glass
sodium lauryl sulfate - sounds like shampoo
sodium hydroxide - thats LYE
and those are listed as inactive ingredientsAnyone ever read the ingredients in their toothpaste and understand whats in it?
Does anyone understand all the ingredients in any artificially produced product. You need to have a degree in chemistry to understand them. They should really dumb the terminology down so we know what we are all taking. But I guess if we knew then we probably wouldn't take those products anymore.
well no sir!
I think Sodium Hydroxide is a whitening agent.
Hydrated silica is a mild abrasive which gives toothpaste a smoother "gel" quality
Sodium Sulfate is a preserver.
I doubt most people can understand the ingredients in bottled water.
And, I too, love the term "inactive ingredients". It brings to mind a question. WHY?
Good question and well asked.
